Homebuyers Education
To purchase a Community Land Trust home, all buyers must complete a homebuyer education course. HRDC does not currently offer this course, but there are two approved online options listed below. These courses typically take 4–7 hours to complete and are asynchronous, meaning you can work through them at your own pace. Click on the link below to learn more about both options.

We will continue to provide the HUD-required individual financial counseling pieces in-house. If you are interested in this counseling, don't hesitate to contact homeownership@thehrdc.org to schedule these sessions after the coursework from above is finished.
Both of the NeighborWorks online options, eHome America and Framework, have a Spanish option. We can also provide a translator for any 1 -on- 1 appointment through Montana Language Services (MTLS).
